Dr. Cortinas, is an El Paso native. Her passion and love for animals was discovered at a very young age. She was only about 4 years old when her mom asked her if she wanted to become a doctor. She quickly replied, "Yes, but it's too bad there aren't doctors for animals." Her mom let her know that there were and they were called veterinarians. At that very moment a dream was born and a light lit up inside of a starry eyed young girl who couldn't yet pronounce the name of her new passion.
Dr. Cortinas graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Upon graduation she moved into the greater Phoenix area where she worked in small animal medicine. She and her beautiful young family moved back to El Paso in 2018 where she continues to practice in small animal medicine.
Dr. Cortinas was inspired to offer this service after many years of experiencing personal loss of beloved pets and grief and loss from the other end of the exam table. While both in hospital and at home pet euthanasia offer dignity and comfort, there is something special in being able to to have those precious moments at home. Being able to take the time to spoil our little rascals rotten with a big steak or filet of salmon, wrapping them in their favorite blanket or having them lay down on their favorite dog bed are precious moments that you will cherish forever.
We know first hand how hard it is to make the unthinkable decision to let our beloved fur babies go. It is one of the most difficult decisions that we face in life.
The whole experience is so personal and private. We want to be able to provide you and your 4 legged babies the opportunity to go through this experience in the most calming, comfortable and private way.
By coming to you and allowing you and your pet those last precious moments where you are most at peace, we hope ease their transition to Rainbow Bridge.
